B-Club the Plastic #1
B-Club was a Bandai house magazine published for 148 issues between 1985 and 1998. Early issues had a big focus on Bandai's OVA projects, garage kits, and otaku-favorites like tokusatsu, Western sci-fi, and photo novels and manga by the likes of Kow Yokoyama, Makoto Kobayashi, Kazuhisa Kondoh, Yasushi Nirasawa, and others. B-Club The Plastic was a spin-off that lasted for only two issues and focused entirely on model kits.
This debut issue of B-Club the Plastic focuses entirely on the then-new Gundam film Formula 91 and OVA 0083: Stardust Memory. Along with an article about the Shizuoka Hobby Shop, the bulk of the magazine is focused on photos and information about the model kits from Formula 91 and Stardust Memory. Lots of lineart and mecha profiles, too.
