Early editions of FASA's Battletech game borrowed designs from anime like Dougram and Macross, but those couldn't be used for the game's Japanese edition for obvious reasons. Instead, the publisher went to Studio Nue, the legendary design studio behind Macross and Orguss, to create all-new versions of the familiar Battletech mechs. The result was a range of new designs by Shoji Kawamori (of Macross fame, ironically enough).
The Japanese edition came in a cardboard slipcase and featured a rulebook, "four" sheets (really two large sheets folded in half) of cardboard counters, and two hex maps.
Condition Notes: Slip cover shows some wear with small tearing around seams. Rule book is a good shape, with no binding damage and light wear. Hex maps appear unused. Counter sheets are unpunched and in great shape aside from some light yellowing around some edges.
