Combat Comic was a manga anthology focused on modern military hardware and near-future "hard" sci-fi. As a result, inside you'd typically find stories and articles about real life machines alongside things like powered suits. 

Combat Comic No. 6 dates to September 1986 and included manga work by Motofumi Kobayashi (Apocalypse Meow) and Kazuhisa Kondoh. Also includes articles about World War II artillery, early VTOL aircraft, and an introduction to making CG artwork.
