Mokochan's Painting Guidebook
Mokochan's Painting Guidebook
Created by Fujita Yukihisa, Mokochan was Tamiya's go-to mascot for much of the '80s and '90s. In addition to adorning stickers and promotional material, Yukihisa also penned several informative guidebooks featuring Mokochan explaining model kit concepts. These were done in a comic strip style with lots of illustrations and diagrams to explain the concepts presented.
Mokochan's Painting Guidebook explains everything from the different types of paint (as well as diagrams showing which types can be painted on top of each other and which can't), to suggestions about making clean brushstrokes, using Tamiya's spray cans, masking, and weathering. Even if you don't speak Japanese, the images are clear and informative. Printed in full color.
This copy has some slight shelf wear and yellowing around the edges, overall in good shape.
